And I’d counter that by saying the world isn’t better because there are too many people like you; that think the way you do. If everyone actually comprehended the Bible, we wouldn’t live in a worldwide Sodom and Gomorrah.
The entire book of the law is a witness against Israel, so clearly his words weren’t flowing through them. They missed the point and have transgressed the laws from the beginning.
The bible is much more violent than I am. God is much more violent and sadistic than I am. And I'm basing this on his own word. If the world was like me, everyone would mind their fucking business....other than on anonymous chat forums of course.
The violence is a result of men refusing God. The commandments lay the foundation for quality living. The further men stray from that, the worse it gets. God wanted nations to remain separate, in their own lands; but covetousness led to conquest and tyranny. The polar opposite to Gods system is communism. To deny one is to support the other.
