Found this in the Vernon Coleman book I'm currently reading. It was so alien to me that I had to look it up, just to make sure it's areal word. Needless to say, it's been a minute since I read Gulliver's Travels and when I did, it was the German version.

brobdingnagian

Huge, Gargantuan, Massive, Colossal Really fucking big

Originated from the tale Gulliver's Travels, from the town Brobdingnag, where everything was really fucking big.

:) Depending on the subject, that's understandable.

He's written a gazillion books, very prolific. I was quite surprised, because I only knew of him from his YouTube videos during the Covid era.

He also wrote cat books and many more: https://www.vernoncoleman.com/shopintroNEWamazon.htm

I especially like his "Animal Issues" section: https://www.vernoncoleman.com/animals.htm
