Researchers took almost 700 samples from rodents on Hainan, which is located just off of China’s southern coast. 9 million people currently reside on the island
mThe scientists claim that the newly discovered viruses have a ‘high probability’ of infecting humans should they ever cross the species barrier. they now plan to experiment with them to determine exactly what their effects on humans could be.
And yet in how many thousands of years have the inhabitants and viruses/animals been in direct contact and nothings happened.

Has to be one of the dumbest articles yet. I mean, who'da thunk putting a bunch of rodents in ablender and then sifting out the virus particles would ever yield anything? "High probability" of zoonotic infection? Oh like the sars cov2 virus? Or the countless other bio-weapons they've developed since who knows when?
