Chicken magic.

[–] 3 pts 3y

Those are some of the best eggs one will ever eat...

Maybe Pic8 does it automatically but, @Cure, I'm proud of you for scrubbing your EXIF data while also sending an ambiguous enough photo that cannot identify where you are.

However...I can make out your finger prints. There's enough of them visible that I could figure out who you are. Wear gloves, next time, brother. Any gloves will do. Disposable nitrile gloves will work just fine. I keep a ton around to eat messy food.

Remember, friends, don't dox yourself. Lotta people just waiting to cancel any of your lives.

Pic8 does it automatically, I just don't care about doxxing myself anymore. Used to be heavily into computer security so I'm very familiar with the tools, at this point if I'm found so be it, do your worst.

It's actually pretty easy low tech to take your finger prints.

Americaunas? It’s exciting getting your first eggs. Good for you.

I had barred rocks, buff Orpingtons and Rhode island reds and they were all great layers.

Number one reason hens don't lay is no grit in their diet or environment. They need at least rough sand (not play sand) to eat to grind up their food.

These ones were coming of age just around November then became dormant once winter hit.

Nice; like the colors too.

I have four Barred Rock hens. I think I average around 3 brown eggs per day. The birds eat lettuce, cheap wheat bread, and egg laying mash along with any bugs that enter their coop.

These were marked as "egg layers" for $2 each. I think I got lucky with a batch of easter eggers.

Barred Rock hens

Neighbor told me they were good pets for the kids too. His enjoyed them and held them etc

[–] 5 pts 3y

Ours will allow us to pet them, but I don't think they really like it.

The eggs taste pretty good. Thick egg whites and orange yolks vs. runny egg whites and pale yellow yolks for the store bought.

[–] 3 pts 3y

I miss those eggs and wish I could have hens now...

Fuckin Easter chickens!

[–] 2 pts 3y

You are not immune to Easter propaganda.

[–] 2 pts 3y

Those are some beautiful eggs.

[–] 2 pts 3y

Those are awesome looking

[–] 2 pts 3y

Wow, those look very beautiful and nutritious.

Someday I will try a blue chicken egg.

[–] 4 pts 3y

You get them from Araucana chickens.

[–] 1 pt 3y

That huge one may be a double-yolker. Or even a doubled egg. You should see soon enough.

[–] 2 pts 3y

Nah that one's pretty normal for that hen, she's just a fatass.

[–] 2 pts 3y

Hah. Okay. I wasn't going so much by the size as by the shape. The weird ones tend to be more round.
