I did in fact take some mass comm classes in college with that intent. But they were more directed to "I could have been an actor, but I wound up here" type of positions. Not what I wanted, which was just to Rawk!

I'm just an old fart who saw The Beatles the first time on Ed SUllivan and a door opened to me and I've never looked back. A few bar bands followed, but by the late '70's wife, kids, and the fact music started sucking hugely, I started longing for the early days of my music youth.

Now, I've developed a passion to document and preserve the "most important era of music' in the last century (IMO and others). I had collected about 475 songs and shared that catalogue with TheBuddha. He shared my interest and so we created MusicFor.us to try to keep that music and artists alive a little longer. So some of these snippets are from that catalogue and I try to get as many people interested in helping with "the project" as I can before "the day the music dies". Songs won't die until the last time someone listens to them.

I think I'd see your site from a link from Poal before. I like how much info you have about the songs, but any plan to post your top 475 in the future? That would be pretty cool.

That's what the site is doing, one song a day. Gives time to think about the song and look at other info and related songs if they pique an interest. We post a link each day around 16:30 ET. If you visit, read the "About This Project" page link at the top right. It explains what we're doing.

Thanks for your interest, and keep posting your songs. I enjoy seeing them.
