not just jerking off. Definitely presenting themselves as well. The amount of editing most of them use give men an unrealistic expectation of how women look, and they turn men into simps who are unable to have a real life relationship with an actual woman.
The editing I agree is a bad thing, passing off lies as truth with the intent to manipulate.
I'm not sure I'd put the blame on them for the problems you mention in men (talking about specifically IG here) I think it's more of a symptom (simptom?) and makes those problems visible, but I think the problems you mention come more from lack of male guidance and broken families. As for how it affects women I've never been one so not going to speculate there.
It is a natural thing for women to present themselves as part of their sexuality, and this is obviously the online version of that. Even if there's unhealthy aspects of how it that works on IG that puts it in a grey area for me. Then there's also the side of men being inspired to be better, stronger men by seeing beautiful women - think like a teenage boy with a poster of some model in his room that reminds him to work out so he can get muscles and snag a girl like that. That can be a healthy drive too. But there's also unhealthy parts like how likes and follows and especially DMs can interfere in a relationship, and a guy can definitely treat it as jerk off porn which isn't good.
To be clear, actual porn is extremely unhealthy and is an evil industry for a ton of reasons. I don't see that as a grey area at all.

everything you say is 100% right in my eyes. Families are broken and are causing men to be without drive and weak, letting women basically wreak havoc and go unchecked. Because the men don't need to work for female attention, all they need is money or to just scroll on their phones to get that female gaze.
