They're primarily talking about Mastodon, a (originally a Gnu Social/Identica work-alike) platform that was started with blocking in mind. The creator, Eugen Rochko, is a fucking snowflake that can't handle anything that's outside his hugbox view of the world.

Eugen has a blocklist that others subscribe to, and the mastodong dev community is known for being assholes. The other main fediverse player, Pleroma, doesn't really subscribe to that philosophy.

It has been known for a long time that f-droid and mastodon are ran by leftists who try to push censorship now that they have an established user base. Still, many people ignored the warnings.

All of tech has been infested with cancerous lefties since the start since it originated in essentially the colleges.

Jews like Stallman and the like promoting communist ideology while selling the world on the wonder of tech.

i would say the fediverse allows anyone to run instances, it does not make any thing different if an instances decides to block something. e.g. if you run your own matrix.org instance, it would be your rules, but if you use matrix.org it is not
