I grew up with gays and even one pedophile in my church as a boy. These are the people who attempted to teach me about God and Jesus. How sad the bishop turned his eyes away from this. Lucky for me i escaped without a scratch but i always wondered why my priest would invite me for bike rides and cook outs at the rectory with no one else and he would wear faggy shorts. I still have faith but i go it alone and wish i could find a community to worship with again.

It is very disturbing what the catholic church has turned into. I'd say it really started in the last 50 years when they turned a blind eye to the abuse and protecting pedophiles and allowing gays to teach at the catholic schools under a dont ask, dont tell policy. Glad to hear you were smart enough to find something odd about a grown man inviting children over. Unfortunately too many parents "trust" the clergy. You shouldn't trust anyone with your children I still have faith but I'm not very against organized religion especially since the catholic church is ran more like a business and the false prophet in rome goes against everything the church stands for.
