Then I ask you to please show me, in scripture, where praying to Mary (or ANYONE other than the Father) is a scripturally sound idea. You keep denying the words of Jesus, but offer no retort showing such actions are biblical, or the command of ANYONE other than the Pope. Jesus was CLEAR that prayer is to Him or the Father. NO ONE, Not Mary, not John the Baptist, not Ezekiel, NO ONE else is worthy of prayer but the father. Unless you can show me a scripture proving otherwise, you. are. wrong.
First, I think your definition of the word pray is too narrow. Pray does not mean "to worship". Pray means to ASK or to PETITION:
Definition of PRAY(dictionary.com)
There are MANY examples of this in western English literature.
Second, to give you scripture references: Jos 5:14 Dan 8:17 Tob 12:16 1 Jn 3:2 Col 4:3 1 Thess 5:25 Eph 6:18-19 Mk 12:26-27
Not a single one of those passages hints to "asking" a dead person to "pray to God on your behalf".
Did you even read those passages?
Col 4:3 = And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message 1 Thessalonians 5:25 = Brothers and sisters, pray for us. Ephesians 6:18 = And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people
Mark 12:26-27 = Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
People in heaven are dead? That's not very Christian of you.
