My apologies, but your comment really made no sense. what does "examplar to decree" mean?
The Initial post asked, where is the Hail Mary in the bible. I have provided examples of exactly that. Saying the Hail Mary prayer is praying the gospel, pure and simple. How can it be wrong to quote the bible in prayer?
Because it exists in a greater context in which Catholics are mislead to pray to Mary and/or invoke her name, contary to the teachings of Christianity. Thus the "conflation" to which I made reference.
In other words, no one need care in general unless the intention is to mislead people away from Christianity.
mislead to pray to Mary and/or invoke her name, contary to the teachings of Christianity
How is it wrong to ask someone to pray for me? How is it contrary to Christianity to ask another person to pray for me or my intentions?
The purpose of prayer, in Christianity, is to directly share with God. Any other route is deception to inject a theological class (cleric, pantheon, and so on) into a religeon. Thus, Catholicism and the hierarchy of clerics and pantheon of dieties and angels and so on and so on.
In Christianity, if you pray, you pray to God. If you're praying to anyone else, you're not Christian. Thus the whole polytheism (Catholicism) vs monotheism (Christianity). Then enter idols and so on and so on... blah..blah...
