Oh it’s a nightmare. I’ve recently had to extract my family from a place, because the priest had been denying the *importance* of the Mother of God. Just because they’re wearing the right clothes and reading the right scripts is no guarantee of *anything* anymore. St. Ignatius of Antioch says: > Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church . It is not lawful to baptize or give communion without the consent of the bishop . On the other hand, whatever has his approval is pleasing to God. Thus, whatever is done will be safe and valid. Obviously, we can’t follow a heretical bishop: a heretic is no bishop at all. As such, I think the Sedevacantists have the right idea in the West. It’s obvious they agree more with the Orthodox Saints, than any of these ecumenist “patriarchs”.
