What do you mean by "World Orthodoxy"?
“World Orthodoxy” is, briefly, Ecumenism, Modernism, Sergianism ... the mainstream Patriarchates are infested with them. The situation in the Orthodox Church is every bit as bleak and sorry as any other Traditional Christian Communion. The Orthodox thing to do is find a right-believing Bishop, and follow them. Fortunately, God has given us so much information by which to make reasonable and intelligent decisions about whether a Bishop is Orthodox or not.
We’re expected to “come out from the harlot”. Simply trusting that we’re in Communion with the “correct church” is no excuse.
Ah. Yeah, I heard there are many problems in the Eastern Church as well.
Oh it’s a nightmare. I’ve recently had to extract my family from a place, because the priest had been denying the importance of the Mother of God. Just because they’re wearing the right clothes and reading the right scripts is no guarantee of anything anymore.
St. Ignatius of Antioch says:
Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church . It is not lawful to baptize or give communion without the consent of the bishop . On the other hand, whatever has his approval is pleasing to God. Thus, whatever is done will be safe and valid.
Obviously, we can’t follow a heretical bishop: a heretic is no bishop at all.
As such, I think the Sedevacantists have the right idea in the West. It’s obvious they agree more with the Orthodox Saints, than any of these ecumenist “patriarchs”.
