The used car market is going to blow up even more than before once this crap enters the market.
Stick to your old cars. They don't have all this spyware. There's no stupid economy features that just wear down parts faster (see auto stop/start).
Hopefully my 2GR-FE continues to purr for a long time (it should). It doesn't have direct injection, no auto stop/start, no mild hybrid system, just a nice and simple V6 that should be bulletproof. The eco mode on this car just adjusts how early it shifts, how it responds to throttle, and how much power the A/C gets to use. Nothing else. They pushed all these new powertrains and efficiency functions to make repair costs worse in hopes that we can be pushed to purchase these retarded vehicles with "features" no one asked for.
They just don't make them like they used to.
They're trying to smartphone-fy the car world as much as possible. "Oy vey goy you need to buy a new goy car with your goy pedo shekels every year or else!"
I can't wait for all this to be done away with once the mad era is over.
