I’ve never seen plastic magically just disintegrate unless you hit it.

Buy it from China, install it on the front of your car, and drive said car for a year or two. It is shit plastic.

It was a tail light. Still for $38 if it was a headlight, it’s not worth polishing if you can buy an entire assembly for less than than the materials, before labor.
