Life of the vehicle is 10 years? Thats insane.
I say 10 years because that's how long you can reasonably expect a battery to last with any kind of charge capability. Does your phone battery hold a good charge after 5 years?
The vehicle itself is probably fine, but when you need a $12000 "engine" - assuming the battery pack is even available, as the required parts build time is 10 years for a car in the USA - is it going to be worth it?
10 years isn't too long for a decently maintained vehicle.
The electric motor should theoretically hold up better than an ICE due to fewer moving parts. I would expect at least one battery to be worth it.
I'm using a galaxy S9+ from around 2018 by the way, I did replace the battery a couple of years ago. The phone still works great, but applications are supporting the OS less with each update. I've had to resort to installing a 3rd party app store to run older versions of some applications. I probably won't put another battery in this phone.
It all depends on what you consider worth it. I can't see many wanting to put 5 figures into a 10 year old car - and you're assuming that the batteries are even available.
