Even if I owned a EV I would not be parking/charging it in the garage. I don't need it burning down my whole damn house if it goes sideways.

Some guy actually did that, I think it was a shorter drive but he said it took a extra 5-6 hours for his trip vs if he had a ICE vehicle.

All I would be thinking during that down time, waiting for a battery to charge, is knowing where I would already be if I didn't have to stop to let the coal fired power plants push electricity into a car.
