I live in a cold climate, 2 hours from a major city. I can’t trust that an EV will get me over the pass safely due to their poor performance in cold temperatures. Then I have to find a charging station when I get to Denver and again after a day of running errands. Maybe people aren’t adopting EVs because they are inconvenient and impractical for most things people use an ICE car for, expensive and a fire hazard. Also, many people have an A/C outlet outside their home and could charge in the driveway, so the snarky “just clean up your garage” is not helpful. Many people don’t have it filled with junk, they have a workshop, tools, bicycles or other items that can’t be left outside. People should be allowed to use their garage however they’d like. Let them fill it with trash, or use it however they please.
