That thing has a yuuuge 215 kWh battery (usable 205kWh). NGL, that's impressive. Anyone could set range records by just putting in an XXXL battery that's too heavy and expensive to be of much practical utility.

Sure, drive slow, remove all creature comforts, remove anything from the vehicle not required to function, reduce air drag and weight. I can see getting 600 - 700 miles. Impressive.

People used to do this with gas cars. They called it hypermilling I think.

Also do not accelerate and do it on a test track with no traffic or stop lights (again, no acceleration)

It was rigged but that is impressive. I’m no EV fan but for some things it ma make sense

How heavy is that fucking thing? What kind of damage will it do to the roads? And may the gods forbid it gets in an accident, it will annihilate whatever it hits, and then likely burn its own passengers to death.

Electric is the way to go (if you know anything about physics), but current battery technology is not near close enough to make it worthwhile for any reason.

An empty electric pickup is heavier than the max GVW of the ICE model, at least for Ford F-150.
