now we have a lot of water that will be poluted till some way is found to cheaply remove the lithium from the water. How about realizing lithium batteries are dangerous and we should use a different technology that doesn't explode or burn uncontrollably and are cheaper like the toyota capaciters that charge faster and don't use lithium.

At least a few companies are trying to use solid state batteries now. Longer range, less risk of fire. It's being called the "holy grail" of EV's. Ill believe it when I see it and what its going to cost.
