So I'm in the market for a new car. New new. The used market is fucking stupid and apparently my almost 10 year old Honda is worth $15k trade-in.

My first thought was to stick with Honda, but they seem to have paired their trim levels down and now the base model comes with almost nothing and they don't have the options to add things. You have to go up a trim level. Even the mid trim is lacking features my current mid trim Honda has.

My next thought was Toyota. I was onboard until I read you can't do remote start unless you pay a monthly subscription. Not only is that fucking retarded, that's a deal breaker for me.

So I'm not sure where to look now. What are the Poalr suggestions?

Things I need in a new car: - reliability - good gas mileage - remote start and auto lock (crazy that this isn't standard these days) - Android Auto support

Things I'd like to have in a new car: - wireless android auto\phone charge - moon roof - heated seats - not ghey looking

Won't argue on truck prices. I spent 20k on my Frontier with 102k miles. I don't regret it cause the gen I got is bullet proof, but it wasn't worth 20k in a normal world.

20K? The 3 -5 YEAR OLD USED ones are north of 70K in the southwest. Granted they are 2500 cummins but still ..

Yeah, that's why I'm not complaining about the price. 100k is a lot of miles, but Frontiers are known to go 300k, so I'm not worried. I'm trying to learn basic maintence specifically for this vehicle. Hell, I'd even attempt my own spark plugs if it wasn't so difficult to do on this specific truck

you have to remove the intake? Damn. Thankfully the iridium plugs last a while though I personally don't run them ( too weak of spark for my high hp stuff, but they do go 100k).

When did you get your Frontier? They are still selling pre-2020 with 80k miles for close $20,000. No way I'm doing that, I'll get a current model.

Currently in the market for a Frontier, looking at 23s and 24s. I would prefer to stay away from the cursed years (21-22 as those are typically built the calendar year before), but we'll see. It seems reasonably reliable enough.
