So I'm in the market for a new car. New new. The used market is fucking stupid and apparently my almost 10 year old Honda is worth $15k trade-in.

My first thought was to stick with Honda, but they seem to have paired their trim levels down and now the base model comes with almost nothing and they don't have the options to add things. You have to go up a trim level. Even the mid trim is lacking features my current mid trim Honda has.

My next thought was Toyota. I was onboard until I read you can't do remote start unless you pay a monthly subscription. Not only is that fucking retarded, that's a deal breaker for me.

So I'm not sure where to look now. What are the Poalr suggestions?

Things I need in a new car: - reliability - good gas mileage - remote start and auto lock (crazy that this isn't standard these days) - Android Auto support

Things I'd like to have in a new car: - wireless android auto\phone charge - moon roof - heated seats - not ghey looking

You want one made in Japan by obsessive compulsive Japanese guys, not a lazy nigger factory in the rural south.

The 4Runner, Prius, RAV4 Prime, Land Cruiser, Lexus LS, Lexus IS, Lexus GS, and Lexus LX are still 100% made in Japan.

Some other models are made there or not. If the VIN starts with a "J", you're good to go.

Hmm, good to know. The 4runner is pretty sweet but it'd probably be a waste just a commuter vehicle.

I didn't know Lexus was built in Japan. I'll have to take a look at them.
