So I'm in the market for a new car. New new. The used market is fucking stupid and apparently my almost 10 year old Honda is worth $15k trade-in.

My first thought was to stick with Honda, but they seem to have paired their trim levels down and now the base model comes with almost nothing and they don't have the options to add things. You have to go up a trim level. Even the mid trim is lacking features my current mid trim Honda has.

My next thought was Toyota. I was onboard until I read you can't do remote start unless you pay a monthly subscription. Not only is that fucking retarded, that's a deal breaker for me.

So I'm not sure where to look now. What are the Poalr suggestions?

Things I need in a new car: - reliability - good gas mileage - remote start and auto lock (crazy that this isn't standard these days) - Android Auto support

Things I'd like to have in a new car: - wireless android auto\phone charge - moon roof - heated seats - not ghey looking

Don't think we have any of those stateside. I know Renault was here for like 5 minutes in the 2010s, but they flopped around the same time Fiat did

Stellantis owns and makes Ram. Stellantis was formed from primarily by the merger of Fiat (Italian) and Pugeot (French), largly run by the French half of the merger. Has gone on to all but gut the companies it owns in favor of direct profits right now.

Didn't know that. I know everyone around here drives a Ram, and from what I've seen the make them solid. It's why if I had to buy new, I'd sway that direction. I love my Frontier though.

Stallantis left Ram alone until around 19 except for a name change under FCA (the NA branch of Stellantis inherited from the Fisat side) when in 09, they stopped calling the trucks Dodge. stripping the nearly 90 year old automakers name off the Truck they sold for over 60 years. Then magically, they mostly left RAM alone. Until the NA branch operating as Chrysler, kept getting fines for not meeting CAFE standards. Then they started in on it, and QC went downhill after that. That was first started around 19, and continues.

Buying advertising keeps the brand where it was. When i can buy the legacy media to tell you this is the best truck going...

The frontier is pretty decent. Id even consider one of the new models. Fairly decent trucks, like all the newest ones, they have issues.

The frontiers only problem with the previous gen was initial price and marketing originally, then later power and how long the gen ran.
