So I'm in the market for a new car. New new. The used market is fucking stupid and apparently my almost 10 year old Honda is worth $15k trade-in.

My first thought was to stick with Honda, but they seem to have paired their trim levels down and now the base model comes with almost nothing and they don't have the options to add things. You have to go up a trim level. Even the mid trim is lacking features my current mid trim Honda has.

My next thought was Toyota. I was onboard until I read you can't do remote start unless you pay a monthly subscription. Not only is that fucking retarded, that's a deal breaker for me.

So I'm not sure where to look now. What are the Poalr suggestions?

Things I need in a new car: - reliability - good gas mileage - remote start and auto lock (crazy that this isn't standard these days) - Android Auto support

Things I'd like to have in a new car: - wireless android auto\phone charge - moon roof - heated seats - not ghey looking

I would go with Toyota. Mine is over 20 years old with over 300k miles on it. As long as it gets regular maintenance nothing breaks. Parts are easily available basically anywhere and its cheap to repair as long as its not a major problem.

I replaced the head unit myself so it has all of the android/phone/charger stuff. Its easier to do than you think but get the crimp connectors with heat-shrink tubing already on them if you go this route.

Also, go with a after market remote-start. Not something that is in a APP.
