Come on man, with all of the "brains" in those cars it should be able to detect its in a car wash.

Still, why the fuck does there need to be a car wash mode?

Isn't driving in the rain essentially the same thing only with a longer duration?

Seems like the car should be able to sense this and take protective measures all on its own.

I love how with these electric cars you aren't even allowed to open your fucking doors without the computer being on. These are government compliance (and occasional assassination - see Michael Hastings) machines. DO NOT buy a car unless all the important controls are manual (steering wheel connected to a pinion on a rack, shifter connected to the gearbox, accelerator connect to a throttle cable, brake pedal connected to the master cylinder, etc)
