3) do NOT piece together the cheapest parts every year into a frankencar. Instead, vertically integrate and control all aspects of manufacturing that you can.
4) DO incrementally improve your cars every year and increase their reliability as much as you can cost-efficiently.
5) do NOT put a bunch of prone-to-failure bullshit in your cars - only technology that is proven.
Toyota makes shit loads of money with this formula. The resale value of their vehicles is twice that of most American vehicle makers. This allows them to charge more for new cars, because they retain their value. TLDR: don't sell cheap bullshit thrown together by jewish bean counters, actually develop products over years.
