It really wasn't such a slouch of a track, especially after the renovations.

Been in business since the late '50s, early '60s, sanctioned by all the racing bodies, had all the big names racing there, special events, grudge night, hot dog eliminator (had to down a dog and a drink, then get in the car and go down the track!😂), what a shame.

Yeah, you're probably right and the insurance bastards had a lot to do with it. Doesn't make sense to me to price your product so high it forces closures. Can't get any premiums from a defunct business! 🙄

Wow, what a nice track! I'm sure the owner tried his best to keep it operating as intended.

They despise us, and everything Patriotic and American like racing. The radical courts allow ridiculously expensive lawsuits to destroy these businesses - to the point the insurers don't want their business. We had a number of small tracks for various motorsports here, most have closed up shop because their liability insurance became ridiculously expensive. One must be wealthy to afford all of the safety precautions, legal support, insurances, etc to run a track, without making the price of admission out of reach of the target audience. The interest is still there but the venues face many challenges.

Totally agree. Sad to see the end of such a wonderful era....
