It was a fuel pressure regulator, which probably started to go bad when I replaced the fuel pump and filters, likely due to the increased pressure strained the 20 year old regulator beyond it's current capability.

Now with the rest of the maintenance I have done, the car runs like a champ.

Good work with the diagnosis. At this stage, with lots of supposed mechanics being just parts changers, having good diag skills is like having ESP or something.

LOL thats a fair point, however this bad boy has the 3800 series II supercharged motor which is engineered for 500K miles.

That 3.8 liter block is one of the best ever made. Had them in the Grand Nationals with the turbo chargers.
