I'll recommend, since youve gone this far. spend 25 bucks. buy a cheapo blutooth obd2 adapter, and get the app "torque pro"
since you are the one driving the car, when it happens, with no codes, you will need to be watching live data of the various sensors.
If it runs, You've ruled out the mechanical. now its electrical. you need something that can analyze sensors and so forth.
If you are without the multi thousand dollar scanners, and arent really needing to purchase something like an xtool for yourself, my option will give you 80% of the data for the cheapest price.
intermittent issues are very hard to diag. Live data when it happens, is invaluable.
I personally would start around the throttle body, tps... i dont know this model car well enough to have a real sense of what goes wrong. so general advice is the start.
Oh, thats a great idea. I actually have one and TorquePro as well , but never put 2 and 2 together to go driving and monitor the input as it happens. thanks! Hopefully this can lead to something more directed as I have no ideas now.
