That's crazy! That is pretty much the equivalent of ICE cars getting a new set of tires every time you'd have the oil changed. Fuck that!

Electric vehicles also use braking reclamation. This means you almost never just coast the tires are always under accel or decel.

Good point. Maybe that explains a lot of the excess wear. I always thought regen braking was a major selling point for EVs since traditional braking is a complete waste of kinetic energy/fuel. From a financial standpoint, it doesn't seem so great if the benefits of saving that energy is negated by the need to buy tires so frequently.
