No shit, despite what they keep trying to push in the media..

People are NOT buying EV's. Not in the numbers they want and they don't sell fast enough for dealerships to make enough on them. Let alone the major upgrades they would have to make to support EV's.

From the post: "Even as General Motors prepares to roll out electric versions of its Buick vehicles, hundreds of Buick dealerships nationwide, including at least four in Massachusetts, are turning their backs on the storied brand.

The move to electric Buicks is one reason so many dealers are giving up their Buick franchises, according to auto industry watchers. They say that smaller, low-volume Buick dealers either can’t or won’t make the big investments needed to begin selling EVs, especially as sales growth in the sector has cooled and unsold electrics are piling up on dealer lots."

The whole idea behind these EVs were to target very specific segment of consumers (ie. people who live in downtowns, ride sharing systems, govenrment agencies, etc.) Not the rank and file slob who spends 30+ mins in a car each way to work...or more. I suspect in the next administration (Biden, Trump, or some random kike installed as leader) they will have to cut back some tax cuts and the EV will be one of them. Expect GM to show up with it's handout in 2025 or 2026 with some sob story like "we made these Obamacars and the UAW shook us down for $100k per year for each of their mob soldiers to build cars every year and now we're broke. give us more money".

Yeah, that sounds about right.
