Just to clear up the misleading headline, the vehicle was at a depth of 30 meters (approximately 98 feet) and the distance traveled was 7 kilometers (approximately 4.34 miles). The headline makes it seem that the vehicle was at a depth of 7 km, but they'd all be dead if that was the case.

At 30 metres under water, the pressure is so severe that each diver-driver could only spend 15 minutes in the car before returning to the surface.
