MSN is always propaganda.

They act like making a battery that can push 700 miles doesn't also mean that the tech will be adapted back to the standard 300 mile range as well.

They also ignore the fact that those batteries lose capacity over years. It's like they've never owned a cell phone. We all know that this happens.

So that 500 mile range is only 300 after a few years.

They also ignore the fact that the electric grid couldn't possibly handle everyone charging every day.

They also ignore the fact that their electricity is most likely made with coal.

And the fact that the batteries will have to be replaced after 5 to 7 years.

They also pretend that big cars are some cultural phenomenon rather than manufacturers making them larger so they can meet reduced emissions requirements. This is the fault of the exact same people who are currently bitching about car size.

Probably less if this is a daily driver.

I don't understand how anyone deals with the charging times. Even 30 minutes is fucking absurd. When I'm going somewhere and I'm out of fuel I almost never have 30 minutes to fucking sit around doing nothing, and even if I did I wouldn't want to.

And that's with the fastest chargers, which aren't nearly as common as the slow ones, so you're looking at an hour plus usually.

Then you have the issue of entirely electronic systems which run on a battery that's extremely volatile. The recent incident where the Tesla caught fire and the battery failed, making it impossible for the driver to exit without breaking a window is a great example.

Fuck that shit.
