The article isn't saying the current pothole plethora is being caused solely by electric cars, just that electric cars have the potential to cause 2x the damage of a gasoline car. This has been known for some time as electrics are heavier than their petrol counterparts. Your point is still valid though. Fix the damn roads and quit pointing fingers.
