This article is a good illustration of why trying to predict outcomes based on government policy is bad. In this case, EVs are trendy because of government signals suggesting petroleum vehicles are going to be replaced by EVs. The problem is, they aren't ready for prime time. It's also a WEF trap to limit movement. I'm not going to touch an EV. Instead, I'll keep repairing my ICE vehicles. Most people are not buying EVs either. Only people who believe the government lies buy them.

I can't remember if it was Lordstown or Workhorse, but one of those companies was whining about how Ford's electric fuckup truck was much cheaper than their own, and was actually available for purchase.

... yeah it was Lordstown that was complaining about price and availability. Workhorse was "We Get Contract Or We Sue!!!!!!1!"

What is ironic is GM was using that plant to product a profitable and mostly affordable car, the Chevy Cruse, and they axed it to sell overpriced ICE SUVs just to suck shareholder dick with larger profit margins.

"Consumers don't want small cars"

  • Automakers.

Should Lordstown fail to find a rescuer willing to re-start full production of the Endurance, the Ohio factory now owned by Foxconn could be a draw for overseas automakers looking for a quick way to build vehicles in the United States.

Sounds like that was the fucking PLAN.

And I'm sure they got it for a song.

Oh yeah. Chink Auto will be turning out cars there at some point, probably with imported Chinese workers.
