You won't need a car, you'll have a few plants, some tasty bug burgers, a room with a shower, toilet, table, bed and above all a tv with gaming console. You can then do anything and everything right there and avoid the dangerous sun and even more dangerous, robots, drones and government fines and penalties. Paradise awaits tomorrow's youth.

The whole electric car thing was never about people (on mass) having electric cars. It was always about outlawing all cars. But they knew that wouldn't be something they could just come out and ban outright. So, they "replace" ICE cars with electric... then ban ICE.... then oops, turns out that electric cars aren't quite all they're cracked up to be and the grid can't handle the power requirements, so only "authorised" people get to use them (but still not own them). Never mind, now that you're living in a "15 minute" city, you don't need to travel anyway... ever. Now shut up and eat ze boogs!
