Okay. If your steering wheel ever just "falls off", push it back on to the steering column, and keep firm equal pressure on it to maintain control of the vehicle. You should have enough contact with the column to be able to steer the vehicle to a safe spot nearby. The key is to remain calm. Really. If you freak out and don't push the steering wheel back on to the column, the vehicle could veer out of control.

Pretty sure Teslas are drive by wire, there isn't a steering column to do this with.
