There is a major flaw with a lot of the Teslas (maybe they fixed it in the newer models). You can break a PLASTIC coupling that delivers coolant to the battery bank. This can happen from any random road debris depending on the model.

Most (nearly all) tesla shops will not repair this as they dont know how and the only thing they can do is quote a whole battery pack swap. A few repair garages that work with EV's including some YT guy figured out how to fix the problem with less than 50$ of parts and some labor.

Imagine how fun it is to be told that the EV you still have a 15k loan on needs a 15-18k repair that insurance will not even touch and neither will a warranty. Might be a good way to get a cheap tesla if you know what you are doing are interested in something like that...

Just wait a few years until some moron at a scrap yard trys to crush a tesla without the battery removed. That is going to be really fun as long as a video is available.
