This is no more or less than a simple statement of reality. Electric cars cannot be made cheaply enough for the average person to want to buy them. They cost more, and do less, than gasoline-driven cars. In order for EVs to be desirable, they would need to be half the cost of ICE cars, but they are twice the cost.
And none of this begins to address the fact that EVs don't work in the winter.
