If I could buy a car with no electronics at all, with regular carburation, mechanical brakes, mechanical steering, crank-up windows, no radio, no sunroof, no heated seats, even no air conditioning, and I could get that new car for a good price, I'd buy it. I have no use for the motorized trash they are putting into modern cars. Power this, power that. It increases the weight of the car by hundreds of pounds. No one needs it.

For now, though, this is just a dystopian scenario, which we hope will never play out in real life.

Are you kidding? Of course this will be reality. It's already happening. Vehicle manufacturers are salivating over subscription revenue, of course this is on the table in every possible dystopian scenario you can imagine.

The easiest problem in the world to solve. Don't buy these cars. Just say no. Problem solved. But people are stupid and they won't do it.

Current developments make me want to buy another Tacoma just to store it for later use.
