In a different sub people were talking about EV cars and the dud that they are. I found this article somewhere and then brought it up to a chap in that post. It's not coming out tomorrow but couple years from now. Pretty cool in my opinion.

Hydrogen is a grossly inferior fuel to gasoline. It is harder to handle, harder to contain, more dangerous, and contains much less energy potential per pound of weight. I don' t know it for a fact but I would be willing to bet it takes more energy to produce than gasoline.

I have no idea. I've just heard people talk about it more frequently in these past few years. As much as I think switching from gas to alternatives is pretty fucking stupid it's going to happen whether we like it or not. I wish they would just work on scrubbing exhaust in better ways. Not just for cars but other industrial machines. I don't know why we don't do liquid propane. Get yourself a couple of 20 pounders and stick them in the back of your trunk. I know they used to do it in Las Vegas cabs 20 years ago, I don't know if it's still a thing now.

Hydrogen is inferior to petrol as the moment, but Hydrogen is still vastly superior to electric. But Hydrogen is far more energy dense than gasoline, not sure where you heard that from.

Has to be better than driving around giant batteries.

Design sells!

I know hydrogen fuel cells have been in and out of the news for the last 15 years at least.

I don't recall where exactly they get the H, is it water split or does it come from LP?

I'd have to do a little research; there are several ways. But I am three sheets to the wind atm.
