Yeah, I have a Mercury Milan for my primary car and it's still going strong, but one day I'll have to replace it. It just blends in ... nothing special. The one thing I hate, and there's no getting away from it anymore, is all the electronics. They're neat features that I like, yet if and when they start going, big bucks, I'm sure.

Plus those options increase the base cost too. You're right you can't get away from them either, some of them are mandatory features now. Between fuel and safety regulations, the government is probably pushing up the base cost by at least 5k per unit.

I agree. The whole government getting overly involved in the equation has driven prices up astronomically. I blame Ralph Nader!

lol... Well Ralphie did do some good (in that instance), but as with anything it got blown up beyond belief.

Wow haven't heard that name in a long time!

How long you had that Milan? I really like the new Continental, but that's practically a limo.

Back in high school I bought a 85 Continental for 500 bucks and that thing was tits. It started having suspension problems that weren't worth fixing tho, common in those cars.

I've had the Milan for a long time now. It's a 2010. But I'm also not the typical driver, being retired, we don't put that many miles on it. A few long drives here and there, but mostly just puttering around. I like it a lot, it's loaded. And a decent size. Just basically the Mercury version of a Ford Fusion.

That's cool. As long as it is running good no need to replace it. I have 2013 and it is still running good, only about 65k miles now.
