The battery seems to work fine after an overnight trickle, and the alternator seems to be in good working order too. Battery's reading 12v after starting it up and running it for a bit. With the engine running I'm seeing the usual 14ish volts.

Edit: That's with the multimeter, not just looking at the dash.

Bat is weak if your trickle charging. Add water to the cells you'll get a bit longer out it but plates will collapse soon and you'll replace it

I only did trickle because I had a day to kill without having to run it. Might have been able to to it faster.

How fast is the drain? Do you have a voltmeter?

I just said I was using a multimeter. It checks volts, among other measurements.

Not sure how fast the drain is. It sat no more than two weeks between when I ran it last and it not turning over.

Power down your truck and give it a good half hour for all your "standby auxiliary" features to go inactive. Test every individual fuse. If I remember the YouTube video I was watching when I was learning every reason I hated the used Silverado I bought. The guy said on star will eat like .02 volts or something like that. It's a tiny trickle, that a day or two you won't notice, but a spare vehicle that sits a week or two? You might want to look into removing the on star bs or putting in a manual kill switch on your battery cable to disconnect your battery when the truck is off. That's what I ended up doing after spending several hundreds of dollars trying to stop the slow battery drain
