Hydrogen-driven vehicles kind of work, just as electric vehicles kind of work. Neither works as well as gasoline-driven vehicles. By casting aside the best option and adopting one that is not as good, we shoot ourselves in the foot as a nation. It's stupid, pointless, and unnecessary. There is no shortage of oil. If there ever were to develop a shortage in the future -- a real shortage, not a fake, artificially-generated shortage -- we would move to some other power source in a natural and organic way, as the need arose. There would be no reason to push this, it would happen by itself. Trying to push such a change where it is not needed, and where it is a disadvantage, is insane.
