Apparently people who know how cars work are better drivers. My wife was not a very good driver. One day I explained her how every part of the car works. She become more confident and a better driver. Now I can relax when she is driving. I'm sure this is not a coincidence. When you know how your car works, you are a better driver.

More people should be taught (forced) to work on cars, so they can understand the mechanics of them, & understand how they should be properly driving to prevent excessive wear on parts.
