You know I think it's cheaper to restore a car from that era to new than to actually buy a new car.

E.g., buy a Suburban 2500 from that era, fix the body and stick in a nice diesel into it. Then go find some tax free off road diesel, you know, for off roading.

Let's say your drunk and there is a sudden disaster, forest fire, something where you need to drive away or will die.

The government is guaranteeing your death.

It would still be illegal to drive away regardless so either you die because you're unable to use your car, you die because you choose not to use your car because it's illegal, or you use your car, get arrested serve a few years in jail and have to use public transport for the rest of your life. You'd be fucked anyway.

I didn't post about the legality. It's more about buying a vehicle that has limitations that could harm you.

Why not build cars with governors that keep you right at the speed limit? Same principle, maybe someone is trying to kill you in a road rage incident and you need to lose them. So many scenarios.

They make people convicted of drunk driving do things like this.

Every year, it gets worse... law abiding citizens treated more and more like criminals.
