I was told, and believe it if you wish, that these were pretty much banned in the USA because they're essentially using trailer tires. It had 10" tires on it.

But 66MPG, that would make an excellent city car.

There were other cars that approached the same mileage, and some that exceeded it. Chinese three wheel cars, which you can purchase here as motorcycles. Civics and justys got near that.

The USA has some strict safety laws regarding cars.

Getting into the late 90’s geo metros could exceed 50 mpg as well. Canadian made, good little cars, a few more years of development and refinement and they could still be around as a great car.
