Yes. A metal fire needs a class D extinguishing medium, water was really the wrong way to do that.

I can't put any blame on the firefighters right now, these are still so new that the methods and materials needed aren't really in circulation yet. 10 more years, there won't be any excuse. Imagine a multi-car pileup of these things, all full of burning lithium that won't go out with water...
