Never knew that. AFTER the fact? Or as a design decision (Beforehand) about displacement?

Check out some of the build videos on two, three, and four rotor builds. It's definately a decision up front as (AFAIK) it requires custom cases to allow for proper through bolt (and custom bolts) attachments. But in general, when you're building the engine, apparently as long as you plan accordingly, determining the number of rotors (and therefore the displacement) is something you choose.

Which is pretty dang cool.

Something I learned from this thread here is also pretty cool. Improvement on the engine providing 1.5hp/lbs vs 1.7hp/lbs for teh wankle.
