Having had many Chevy trucks over the years, I can say that this era of them was the absolute worst. All of the interior and dash controls are shit. Everything breaks. Drivetrains where pretty solid, of course. If they want to reproduce a classic Chevy, the best choice would be 1972. Great styling, steel dash, all controls are solid and work great. Front disc brakes, which makes it a better choice than older Chevies.

lol Get yourself an old one. I prefer the 84 Silverado. Put a ZR-1 Vette motor and drivetrain in it. Save yourself a lot of money.

more like 17-26 mpg w/ that motor in a vette. Modern production cars are generally heavy af b/c all the safety regs. I bet you could do 15- low 20s in that for mpg provided you aren't running in 4wd
