They want to shove you into self-driving cars and out of cars that don't have it.
EVs are the new tech, and from now on nearly all EVs will have self-driving.

I have plans to find a lost wallet w 100,000 in it. Plans Guarantee Success! Just look at Trump.
Wow, that's dumb.
Yeah. That's going to work well in rural areas.
14 year plan. Electric vehicles are superior in every way to ICE. It's battery technology which is lacking compared to petrol. Between battery and supercap technology on the horizon, and even alternate energy sources, it's likely a safe bet.

This is false. Electric cars mean more electronics. More electronics mean it's a bigger piece of garbage, and more likely to have a shorter life.
Battery technology sucks. Lithium oxygen batteries look promising, but still way out there from mas production. Also, ever heard of a thing called "thermal runaway"? Look it up, it's scary as fuck. Lithium ion batteries are known to spontaneously combust. I sure as hell don't want that in my truck. On top of all that, how are we supposed to dispose of all this toxic technology? You can't just put this stuff in a landfill, it's very expressive to get rid of. Much like solar panels, the byproducts that are created in order to create this technology is extremely hazardous. Silicon tetrachloride is a byproduct of solar panels, one of the most toxic chemicals known to man.
All this electric stuff sounds good and looks good on paper, but even Elon musk admits that is everyone was driving electric cars and went home to plug them in at the end of the day, it would crash the grid. The infrastructure just isn't there.
Last but not least, duel exhaust just isn't as cool on electric cars.
I would need a source and a spreadsheet.
No other energy source (other than nuclear) has the energy density of a fossil fuel. Fossil fuels are also incredibly stable to store and handle. This means refueling can be done very efficiently.
Charging electric cars for long range use is not at all convenient, yes, this gets to your battery technology argument.
The power infrastructure to allow every car to be electric is virtually impossible to build, especially if you feel the grid has to be green as well.
In a cold climate, EV range is cut almost in half, due to running the electric heater, while ICE vehicles use the waste heat of combustion to warm the cab.
The manufacturing of EV is also much more toxic to the environment than ICE vehicles.
I would be interested to see more categories to compare ICE to EV.
